Description: Our client – a major utility firm based out of Long Island, NY – has an immediate long-term need for an experienced Web Graphic Designer. The particulars of the position are as follows.Description:
The Web Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visually compelling graphics and web layouts that align with the organization’s branding and business requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience (UX/UI), and the ability to create engaging visuals that resonate with diverse audiences.Responsibilities:

• Design Microsoft SharePoint sites and pages to meet business needs and enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with the business teams to design visually appealing and interactive web pages, leading the UAT process, as per the business requirements.
• Create unique designs and develop UI mockups and prototypes with a deep understanding of website functionality and visual appeal.
• Use creativity and design expertise to develop innovative and compelling visual concepts that align with client’s brand guidelines and business goals.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in design, web development, and user experience to inform and improve design decisions.
• Collaborate with web development professionals, such as front-end and back-end developers, to complete the full scope of web development projects.
• Conduct user research to determine design requirements and analyze user feedback to improve design quality.
• Write and edit technical documentation for digital interface products and designs, such as user manuals, testing protocols, and reports.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with business users and IT team members.
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in graphic design or a related field.
• Portfolio of website projects with proven experience leading the UX/UI, web design, and UAT processes.
• Experience designing websites, intranets, and pages in Microsoft SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of web design principles, UX/UI, and responsive design.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into visually compelling designs.
• Excellent proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, UX, InDesign, etc.) or similar tools.
• Ability to translate ideas from concept and planning phases to the production of visually appealing designs.
• Keen attention to aesthetics and fine details with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, wireframes, sitemaps, drawings, and models.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field.
