Description: Job Description:The Web Developer is part of the Library Technology and Assessment Services team at Vanderbilt University and is key to assuring that new and current web applications adhere to current web guidelines. Reporting directly to the Director of Library Technology and Assessment Services, this position will work with other groups, both internal and external, to assure that library collections are available through the various web applications.About the Work Unit:

The position reports administratively and functionally to the Director for Library Technology and Assessment Services (LTAS)Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree is requiredA MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution is preferred or a degree in computer science or relevant experienceOne year of relevant working experience requiredExperience and Skills:Demonstrable experience with developing applications for a web environmentExperience with creating and maintaining CSS.Experience with various programming languages including ruby, php, perl, python, etc.Experience working with cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)Ability to work collaboratively is necessary.Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.About Us:At , our work – regardless of title or role – is in service to an important and noble mission in which every member of our community serves in advancing knowledge and transforming lives on a daily basis.
