Description: About the DivisionThe Division of External Affairs oversees the department’s communications, training, and legislative teams.About the TeamThe DODD communications team works with department leadership and across divisions to create meaningful communications for people with developmental disabilities, their families, county boards of developmental disabilities, private service providers, the media, and other partners. The team creates and manages various types of communications including the DODD website, social media, newsletters, videos, podcasts, graphics, and press releases. The communications team works across the agency to plan and publish memos, guidance, and other resources to support external partners and works in concert with other governmental agencies and external partners on messaging communications that are assessable, useful, consistent, and credible.About the PositionThe DODD communications team is looking for a motivated and creative Web and Communications Administrator (Program Administrator 3) skilled in design, formatting, editing, and website management.The Web and Communications Administrator will primarily relieve the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) of departmental internet/intranet publication functions. In addition, the incumbent will assume full responsibility and provide direction for all visual and graphic design, other than videography and photography. Other responsibilities will involve assisting the communications team. Some of the duties of this position include:
Qualifications5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration AND 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.-Or completion of undergraduate core program in Visual Communications or related field AND 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.Preferred Qualifications:
