Description: SummarySilicon Valley International School (INTL) seeks a part-time academic support staff member on the Willows Campus starting March 1st, 2025.Academic support staff at the Willows Campus should enjoy working with students from 6th to 12th Grade. They must demonstrate commitment to INTL’s mission and the population we serve, as well as be experienced with organizing and logistics in the school setting, as well as supervising middle school students. They must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues and be accepting and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures.This position is classified as non-exempt at a rate of $30.00 per hour, this role will report to the Student Life Coordinator.Typical work activities include

• Supervision of middle school lunch, recess, afternoon break, and dismissal
• Supervision of middle school after-school study hall
• One-to-one or small group supervision of upper school students as needed
• Receipt, organization, and cleanup of student lunches for early years and upper school
• Provide a range of in-classroom support, including subbing and assisting as needed in the upper school classrooms
• Building relationships with upper school students, maintaining professional boundaries, and building positive rapport
• Assistance in school offices and school staff in carrying out the day-to-day needs of the school
• Support classroom needs as a sub on an as-needed basis
• Cover the receptionist duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience working with middle school-aged children (11-13 years)
• Fluency in English for collaboration with colleagues and communication with students
• Native French, Chinese, and German speakers are especially encouraged to apply
• Experience with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) preferred
