Description: LOCATION: Capital District Youth Center, Inc. (CDYCI) located at 838 Albany-Shaker Road, AlbanyDATE: Immediately thru June 30, 2025BASIC FUNCTION:To provide differentiated, direct instruction, implementation of daily classroom routines, and remediation for middle and high school students in an Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS) regulated juvenile detention facility.RESPONSIBILITIES: * To teach curriculum in an OCFS juvenile detention facility setting.
- Curriculum preparation, instruction, supervision and evaluation of students in alignment with New York State Learning Standards.
- Utilizing appropriate pedagogy and instructional methods to engage students.
- Communicating with applicable CDYCI and BOCES administrators to support students in their learning environment.
- Engage in professional learning sessions through the year (professional development to be offered in advance of the start of instruction as well as continued professional development and technical support through the year).
- Assist students in developing the skills and content required to be successful.
