Description: Job Title: Scientist II/III Antibody Purification GroupLocation: Onsite (40 hrs/week) – Ridgefield, CTContract: 24 monthsCompany is currently seeking a talented and innovative Scientist II/III to join our Biotherapeutics Discovery department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the discovery of biotherapeutics for unmet medical needs. As an integral member of the New Biologic Expression, Purification, and Characterization (NBEPC) group, specifically within the Purification team, your main responsibility will be to provide expertise and knowledge in the area of protein purification, specifically focusing on purification of monoclonal antibodies and antibody formats. The focus will be to supporting our high-throughput team providing material and meaning full data to multiple project teams. Experience with purification chromatography, liquid handling technology and statistical data evaluation is highly advantageous. Experience with Biotherapeutics and a good understanding of drug discovery is considered a plus.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform scientific experiments that contribute to core group/research goals and reflect expert knowledge in development of biological drugs and in the area of protein purification, CMC evaluation and protein biochemistry related to the development of biological drugs.
- Be responsible to conduct high throughput experiments daily and support experienced scientists in planning and analyzing the generated data.
- Prepare and communicate data in technical reports and oral presentations. Deliver updates to team members and management in context of overall project goals.
- Maintain scientific excellence in area of protein purification, protein expression and biophysical characterization. Develop broad knowledge in field of expertise, including the ability to interpret current literature relevant to R&D projects
- Participate as an NBEPC representative on multiple project teams and aid in defining and prioritizing departmental aspects of project issues and goals.
- Comply with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Compensation Details:
- Orbis Clinical is an equal opportunity employer that provides a reasonable range of compensation for our positions. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.
- The Pay Range for this position depends on experience but usually around $43.33 – $45.77 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
