Description: This posting is for a School Safety and Security Coordinator for the Southern York County School District. It is a full-time 10 month (201 day) position with benefits and salary to be determined by the Act 93 Administrator agreement. This position is responsible for building and maintaining systems to ensure a positive school culture and to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The District is seeking applicants with qualifications including: * High school graduate with a minimum of five (5) years police experience

• Act 120 and Act 235 Certification or graduate of Pennsylvania State Police Academy
• Experience and training working as a school resource officer, preferred
• All training requirements and possess the necessary licenses to serve as armed school security under Section 1314-C of the Public School Code
• National Association of School Resource Officer (NASRO) training shall be required before beginning duties
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable
