We seek an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our all-school team as the School Registrar.Position Overview: The Registrar is a key member of the school’s Technology, and Teaching & Learning teams, the data governance committee, and the academic committee, and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of student records, enrollment, registration, and data management. Growth potential in this position may include institutional research and data analysis opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, expertise in data analysis and the ability and enthusiasm for working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and families to ensure smooth and accurate management of student information.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate student attendance and up-to-date student records, including demographic data, academic transcripts, and health information.
- Coordinate and manage student registration, course scheduling, and enrollment for both new and returning students.
- Provide assistance to families during the admissions process, ensuring all documentation is properly submitted and processed.
- Support faculty and administration in generating academic reports, transcripts, and data for academic planning and assessment.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state, federal, and school-specific regulations regarding student records and privacy (FERPA).
- Work closely with the Admissions Office to facilitate the transition of new students into the school community.
- Develop and maintain reports and other data tracking systems to support academic and administrative needs.
- Manage the dissemination of student transcripts and other official documentation as needed.
- Respond to student, faculty, and parent inquiries regarding academic records, course selections, and other student information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in education, administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a registrar or administrative role, ideally within a K-12 independent school setting.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge & Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people; time management and organization skills; expertise in Blackbaud Data System (SIS/LMS systems) and Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets; ability to collaborate and work well with others; demonstrate cultural competency and a commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and experience in managing student records compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with Looker Studio and enthusiasm for data analysis is a plus.
- Physical Requirements & Work Environment: May involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time; must be able to perform comfortably, both individually and with larger groups in a variety of settings. After school hours may be required for meetings and community events.
