The high school community is culturally and economically diverse which has consistently provided a rich environment for our interns to work with students, parents and staff. Our school psychology internship program has been in place for over 30 years and is highly regarded as one of the top training sites due to the emphasis on a student-centered intervention model.In addition to their primary supervisor, the interns at Highland Park will work collaboratively with a team composed of four psychologists. Interns will gain experience working with a diverse population of students in both general and special education. Within special education, the intern will be able to work with students who range from needing support for emotional regulation and behavior intervention, those who need a fully-modified academic curriculum, and those who are working on life skills. We work within a tiered intervention model designed to actively seek out and provide support to students in need. Our interns will also have the opportunity to work in the Drop In Center that serves all students.Positions Available: 3 Full-time School Psychology Internship positionsFull Time Salary: $17,000School Psychology Internship Goals
