Description: Job Title: QC Scientist IJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented QC Scientist I to join our team. In this role, you will perform bench testing, including sample preparation, wet chemistry, standard weighs, and dilutions. Over time, you will be trained on HPLC and GC. You will work in both the Oral Dose Solids and Nasals departments, conducting chemical and physical analyses to support the development of manufacturable multisource pharmaceutical products. You will also provide analytical support for the release of registration materials in support of regulatory submissions and assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned analytical tasks in support of product development, registration lot release, and pre and post regulatory submission activities.
  • Conduct activities within assigned timelines and in compliance with cGXP’s and company practices and procedures.
  • Follow work instructions, SOPs, and company practices.
  • Document analytical activities and results accurately, in a timely manner, and maintain data integrity.
  • Follow written analytical procedures and identify execution challenges.
  • Support troubleshooting activities.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in dilutions, sample preparation, biochemistry, and quality control.
  • Strong chemistry and chemical testing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science field (preferably Chemistry or Biochemistry).
  • Prior lab experience, either from school or external work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with supervision using scientific judgment and professional competency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Candidates with lab experience outside of academia are strongly preferred.
  • Degrees in Biology, Microbiology, or Pharmaceutical Science will be considered if the candidate has strong chemistry lab experience.

Work EnvironmentThis is a fast-paced environment where you will spend time working in both the quality group and occasionally the manufacturing area. The position is on the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with some flexibility. After training, you may work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 – $24.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
