The salary range for this position is $56,176-$92,690. The budgeted salary range for this position is $56,176 – $80,000. The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days. In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week.What You’ll DoDenver Arts and Venues is seeking a Public Art Program Administrator to support our team in bringing unique and exciting arts experiences to the Denver community. This position acts as a liaison between the artist, the community and government entities to deliver a collaborative experience where all who are impacted are engaged. Our works stands at the intersection of arts, culture and community.Specifically, as a Public Art Program Administrator you will:Work collaboratively with community leaders and internal and external stakeholders such as the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and Parks & Recreation, Artist, Finance and Budget and the City Attorney’s OfficeDemonstrate Strong written and oral communication skills through presentations and written content that engages diverse audiencesManage a portfolio of approximately 20 projects simultaneously, including moving them through a detailed and complex contracting processBe responsible for managing budgets for various projectsDemonstrate a commitment to infusing diversity, equity and inclusion practices in your workFacilitate the selection process for the community to choose art instillations or experiencesConduct research based on the project requirementsWhat You’ll BringWe value diversity of ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, gender, religion, language, ability, and experience and exemplify this through the makeup of our team at all levels. You’ll be right at home here if you cultivate strong relationships and push yourself, your work, the people around you and Denver to the next level.Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:Experience in Public Arts such as visual arts, arts administration and planningTechnical Skills including experience working with fabrications, blueprints and architecture are a plusExperience Facilitating decisions through effective written and verbal communicationExperience actively applying EDI values to processes and workRequired Minimum QualificationsEducation requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field.Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional or technical level experience planning the administrative aspects of a program(s) or training program participants and/or volunteers. (Some positions may require experience in a specific program area.)Experience/Education Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education for all classifications.
