Organizational Unit OverviewThe Harriot College of Arts and Sciences Grants Hub serves Harriot College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and Technology, the College of Fine Arts and Communications, and the College of Business. The Hub provides both pre- and post-award grants management at the College level.
Job Duties
This position may be eligible for Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) ranging from face-to-face to fully remote under the ECU FWA Policy.
Minimum Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area and three years of administrative management or business management experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification Required by Statute or RegulationNone.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/EducationMaster’s degree preferred. CPA or CRA Certification preferred. Ability to work independently. Leadership, management, communication, facilitation and customer service skills. Experience in a university environment responsible for the fiscal management of contracts and grants; demonstrated experience partnering with faculty, senior administrators, and external research sponsor officials.Knowledge of programs and procedures for granting agencies, including federal agencies (e.g., NSF, NIH, DOD, USDA, NOAA, NEH, NEA) as well as corporate and private foundations and sponsors, and knowledge of relevant OMB regulations. Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting and financial analysis. Experience with online accounting/financial systems. Expertise in using computer tools such as spreadsheets, databases and word processing tools. Demonstrated experience completing projects with minimal supervision.
