The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the credit union’s marketing efforts, with a focus on email marketing, content creation, and marketing automation. This role involves crafting compelling campaigns, managing blog and content strategies, executing workflows using CRM marketing automation tools, and driving engagement across digital channels. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in campaign optimization, audience segmentation, and performance analysis, along with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. Job Description
Essential Functions:

  • Creates and facilitates the execution of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with credit union’s business goals and member needs – including but limited to website content, blog, member resources, clean energy and financial educational materials, presentations and webinars, and advertising.
  • Works with media coordinator on asset development and social media strategy.
  • Optimizes website content to improve organic rankings in search engines to increase interest and traffic.
  • Develops and implements workflows and automations within the CRM to increase usage and adoption of products and services.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve member experience through credit union website, educational & support materials, and direct communications.
  • Develops, executes, and optimizes personalized and segmented email marketing campaigns to drive member engagement and lead conversion.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on marketing campaign performance, applying data-driven insights to implement improvements.
  • Ensures all marketing materials are aligned with the credit union’s brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Works directly with partners to plan and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Actively identifies and organizes participation in various events such as conferences, trade shows, or industry gatherings.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews across various platforms and develop strategies to enhance overall online reputation.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Manages Media Coordinator and freelance positions as needed.
  • Supports credit union staff as needed.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with all credit union policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, with a focus on email marketing, content creation, and digital marketing strategies (required).
  • Minimum one year experience in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in content creation, copywriting, and editing across various platforms (e.g., web, email, social media, blogs).
  • Advanced knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and marketing automation tools (e.g., Creatio a plus, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and social media management.
