Description: Manager of Foundation & Government Grants – $55,000 – $60,000, DOE – Las Vegas, Nevada.The RoleAre you a skilled grant writer with a knack for identifying funding opportunities? Do you enjoy managing projects and budgets to help organizations thrive?Join Discovery Children’s Museum as our Manager of Foundation & Government Grants, where you’ll play a vital role in securing funding to support our mission of inspiring a lifelong love of learning through hands-on, interactive experiences.In this role, you will be a key member of our development team, responsible for researching, applying for, and managing grant funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources. You’ll work closely with teams across the Museum to ensure successful funding applications and reporting, helping sustain and grow our educational programs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and submit grant applications and reports.
  • Identify and evaluate new funding opportunities.
  • Gather supporting documents for applications, including budgets and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with program and finance teams to prepare budgets and outcome data.
  • Manage a grant calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate records in grant management systems.
  • Assist with grant-related meetings, notes, and follow-up tasks.
  • Support other Development team activities as required.

The PersonWe’re looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 1–3 years of experience in grant writing, fund development, or project management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using grant management tools.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector or government grant writing is an advantage.
