We offer the opportunity for professional accomplishment and growth with diverse, talented, and collaborative Team Members in a dynamic work environment at a company with an indisputably important mission—to help people live healthier lives.Position SummaryLife Time is looking for a Law Clerk that will support the litigation, consumer, privacy, cybersecurity, public accommodation, health or other regulatory law, including escalated member issues, and corporate and licensing legal matters, including regulatory/licensing issues, and commercial contracting. The Law Clerk will work with oversight from his or her manager including Associate General Counsel and/or the in-house lawyers the Law Clerk is supporting. The Law Clerk will be responsible for working approximately 20-40 hours per week during the summer.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProjects. Supporting legal staff advising business units on operational projects, including selling goods and services to customers. May include researching laws governing health clubs, drafting customer agreements and reviewing and revising existing customer agreements and club policies.Legal Research and Writing. Research and writing to support litigation (primarily Employment), pre-litigation disputes (customers or vendors), compliance initiatives, construction and licensing questions and privacy policies. Responsible for creating multi-state surveys.Contract review, drafting, negotiation and advising. Including buy-side supply, service and technology contracts. Additionally, the law clerk will advise business clients regarding existing agreements, including assessing risk, damages, obligations and termination rights.Investigations and Dispute Resolution. Investigating facts relating to legal claims (e.g. agency charges of discrimination).
