Description: Overview:GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Java Developer. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA with a hybrid remote work schedule. Responsibilities:

• Create Java web services and Java EAR files and integrate it with existing Oracle packages.
• Create and maintain complex PL/SQL packages spanning multiple schemas.
• Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements.
• Extensive Oracle database experience
• Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities.
• UNIX Shell scripting
• Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans.
• Perform code reviews and bug fixing.
• Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages.
• Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team.
• Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems.
• Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team.
• Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks.
• UNIX, MS Windows Server experience
• Use of Oracle, Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSP, Oracle Forms & Reports, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, JBuilder, Pro*C, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux.
• Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
• 10 plus years of experience in IT
• 7-8 years of Java-related development experience
• 3-5 years of PL/SQL development experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
• Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems
• Work well independently and within a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge
• Clearance required: Ability to obtain/maintain a public trust
• Must have been within the US for the last 5 years

Preferred Experience

• SQL Server database experience
• Microstrategy or Business Objects Reporting experience
• Other database experience

Posted Salary Range: USD $120,000.00 – USD $132,000.00 /Yr.
