Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Government Contract Specialist at GXC serves as the organization’s expert on all aspects of government contracts, including compliance requirements, the Statement of Work (SOW), and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). This position acts as a vital liaison between Payroll and Human Resources ensuring seamless communication and compliance with all contract-related obligations. The Government Contract Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring compliance, and providing critical support in contract administration and employee-related matters. This role is instrumental in ensuring the company’s government contracts are administered efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations, while also supporting payroll and human resources functions.Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on government contracts, including the SOW, CBAs, and compliance requirements.
  • Track and manage wage, Health & Welfare (H&W), and pension increases for all contracts
  • Organize and maintain formal documentation
  • Maintain and track data for action for each government contract.
  • Act as the liaison for union-related inquiries and requests.
  • Create offer letters, contracts, and communications for incumbents, new hires, and supervisory roles during contract transition and on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director on recruitment and onboarding efforts.
  • Maintain the utmost integrity handling sensitive employee and company information.

  • Fine motor dexterity, ability to work from an electronic device at all times
  • Ability to learn new tasks and remember processes
  • Maintain focus and independence in a remote working environment
  • Make decisions and apply established workflows in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience in similar role
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting, compliance, and labor agreements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and trackers in SharePoint and other systems.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and motivated
  • Neat and professional appearance.

Salary and Benefits

  • $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 Annual Salary – Exempt Position
