Description: HornBill’s client, a government contractor in Fairfax, VA has 2 contract to hire openings for Government Billers. They are looking for someone with 4+ years of billing experience utilizing Deltek Costpoint (preferably version 7 but are open to version 6 if it was recent). They will mainly be focused on owning their portion of the billing cycle but will also be assisting with month end close, unbilled analysis and collections. Duties:

  • Create and maintain all electronic set up billing files
  • Set-up billing formulas
  • Understand the basic contract document(s) as it relates to billing and revenue
  • Invoice customers in a timely and accurate manner; Ensures invoices are in compliance with appropriate contracts, guidelines, and regulations; Identifies issues, researches same, and remedies as appropriate
  • Remit invoices to customers; Input invoices into web-based invoicing systems
  • Reconcile billings, revenue and unbilled amounts on a monthly basis
  • Perform monthly Unbilled reconciliations of billed vs. revenue activity; Research and resolve unexplained reconciling items; Notify the Manager of significant, reconciling items that remain unresolved for extended periods
  • Assist with collection activity and resolution of outstanding invoices from past due accounts
  • Establish a business relationship with internal and external customers; Provide guidance and support to facilitate accurate and timely billing and prompt collection
  • Work closely with the Program Managers, Contracts and Accounting personnel regarding billing and revenue issues
  • Support various aspects of the monthly financial reporting to include analysis open billing detail
  • Support management by performing various departmental special projects as needed
  • Assist in any internal or external audits as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Extensive knowledge of Costpoint billing 7.0 and cost modules (preferably 7.1)
  • Prefer to have someone with 4-5 years of experience with government contract invoicing (in Costpoint)
  • Proficiency in Excel (v-lookup, pivot) preferred
  • Experience submitting invoices on customer systems such as WAWF, IPP, as well as other commonly-utilized invoice submission websites
