Description: Round Hill Search is partnering with a prestigious boutique law firm headquartered in San Francisco to recruit an experienced Family Law Paralegal. This firm, known for its expertise in Family Law, primarily handles cases across the Bay Area, Orange County, and Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of California family law and court procedures, with experience specifically in the counties this firm serves.***This is a fully remote position, but candidates located in California are highly preferred due to the time zone alignment and regional court familiarity. However, exceptional candidates from other parts of the U.S. will also be considered.Responsibilities:– Drafting and preparing various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and settlement agreements.– Managing case files, document organization, and e-filing through California state court systems (with particular emphasis on Bay Area, Orange County, and LA County courts).– Collaborating closely with two attorneys, providing case management and support from start to finish.– Conducting legal research and assisting attorneys with case preparation, including trial prep and court filings.– Communicating regularly with clients to gather information, provide updates, and facilitate efficient case progress.– Tracking and managing deadlines, ensuring compliance with court requirements and firm policies.– Maintaining billable hour records and preparing detailed billing summaries.Qualifications:– Experience: 5+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus on Family Law in California. Knowledge of the Bay Area, Orange County, and Los Angeles County court systems is a significant advantage.– Education: Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program or equivalent legal education.– Technical Skills: Proficiency with legal case management software and e-filing platforms. Comfortable working in a paperless environment.– Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.– Detail-oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all documents and filings are accurate and timely.Remote Experience: Experience working in a remote environment is preferred, as is the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines autonomously.Compensation & Benefits:– Salary: $85,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience.– Billable Hours: 1,100 hours annually– Bonus Structure: Bonuses awarded for every 50 hours worked above the 1,100-hour target.
