Description: POSITION: English Language Arts (ELA) TeacherGRADE LEVEL: Hiring for both middle school and high school positionsLOCATION: Hiring at multiple locations. You can view our current School Year Calendar .KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESOur English teachers believe not just in teaching an ability to read, write and understand texts but also seek to build and nourish a deep love of reading and writing, so that our students can be experts in any field and use their expertise to tell their individual and unique stories, live their dreams, and transform their community and the world.Plan and deliver culturally responsive instruction to 3-5 classes a day of various lengths depending on the DSST campus and grade levelUse data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practicesAdditional duties as assigned such as supporting student recruitment, running a small group advisory class, after school tutoring, etc. See many of our possible duties .Middle School Curriculum:Depending on the campus, students may take separate reading and writing classes, or have them combined into an English/Language Arts class.
