Description: DepartmentLegalJob Description – OverviewHobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a national, privately-held, stable, and growing retailer headquartered in Oklahoma City is seeking a qualified Employment Law Attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience.The employment law attorney position is an in-person position in Oklahoma City, and provides legal representation and counsel to Hobby Lobby management, business personnel, and affiliate companies in in all areas of employment and labor law, including Title VII, ADA, PWFA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and NLRB, and similar states laws. The employment law attorney position will not require any litigation, but litigation experience is a plus.To be considered for this position, applicants must provide a cover letter describing the applicant’s particular interest in the position and salary requirements, and a current résumé. • Superior analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, legal writing, and negotiation skills;
• The ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, business personnel, opposing counsel, and regulators;
• A positive attitude, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently;
• Good legal research skills; and
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Lexis+.

The employment law attorney position is challenging, but distinguishable from law firm positions in that it does not require billable hours or client development.
