In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge data solutions leveraging the power of the Cloud, Databricks platform and AI/ML technologies. You will act as a thought leader, guiding our organization in maximizing the value of data through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI/ML-powered applications.Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of data solutions:

o Architect and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines on the Databricks platform, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and processing.o Leverage Databricks Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and MLflow to build robust and efficient data solutions.o Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines and applications to enhance data analysis, improve decision-making, and automate tasks.

• Drive innovation and best practices:

o Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Databricks, data engineering, and AI/ML technologies.o Conduct research and evaluate new technologies and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.o Develop and implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Databricks ecosystem.

• Act as a thought leader and consultant:

o Provide expert guidance and consultation to stakeholders on data architecture, data engineering, and AI/ML strategies.o Evaluate and recommend optimal architectures and solutions for complex data challenges.o Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the data platform.o Develop and finalize implementation roadmaps for data projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Mentorship and collaboration:

o Mentor junior data engineers and data scientists on best practices and technologies.o Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., data science, business analysts, software engineers) to deliver successful data projects.Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in the Databricks platform:

o Deep understanding of core Databricks services (e.g., Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark SQL, MLflow, Notebooks).o Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and performant data pipelines and solutions on the Databricks platform.o Should have successfully completed Databricks Champion Program

• Data engineering and development skills:

o Expertise in data engineering best practices, including data modeling, data quality, data governance, and data security.o Strong programming skills in Python and Scala.o Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills:

o Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into effective data solutions.o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.

• Communication and collaboration skills:
