Description: Data Scientist Lead
Position Location: Chicago, IL / Pittsburgh, PA / Wilmington, DE (Hybrid 3 days in office 2 remote)Must be willing to work EST
Days of the week: M- F 40 hours
Working Hours: 9-5 EST
Length of Assignment: 6 Months with possible conversionRequired: Data Analytics in consumer lending strategy, preferably with a big bank.
Highly preferred: Consumer or Business Credit Card Decision Science experienceRoles and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the product team to lead various analytical projects, leading other analysts, creating PowerPoint decks, immersed with dataMust Have Technical Skills:
Tableau, Python/Pyspark (one or the other), experience using statistical analysis, MS Office (specifically PowerPoint)
– Experience working in the Decision Science function of a mid-to-large bank or a Fintech lender – building strategies for originating new loans/credit cards; and/or building strategies for managing an existing portfolio of loans/credit cards.
– Strong familiarity with credit bureau attributes and internal risk/return metrics of a consumer lending product (preferably credit card)
– Experience working in a fast-paced environment partnering with various stake holders (e.g. Product and Credit Risk teams) to simultaneously manage multiple ongoing changes in lending strategies.
– Expertise in querying, analyzing and synthesizing large consumer lending datasets that provide credit profiles of various account origination vintages along with their performance from a delinquency, loss, and revenue standpoint.
– Should bring to the table expertise in consumer lending (preferably credit care) performance data analysis along with a foundational knowledge of Machine Learning techniques – should have willingness and curiosity for continuous learning.
– Strong experience in simplifying complicated information coming in from large datasets in order to enable decision making – should have experience in visualizing complex concepts using PowerPoint and Tableau
– Expertise in producing clean and well formatted work-sets that enable efficient review and feedback by stakeholders.
– Experience reviewing the work of junior analysts and providing feedback.Flex Skills/Nice to Have: Machine LearningEducation:
Bachelor’s degree required – masters preferred – preferably in a analytical field
