Description: You Must be a Member of the New Jersey Bar and You Must be Excited to Work Virtually in the areas of Internet Defamation/First Amendment/Personal Inury and Employment Law.This job is ideal for someone who has a dedicated office space and wants to work in a virtual enviornment.We are a small and growing firm, specializing in three areas: Personal Injury, First Amendment and Employment Law. A qualified candidate must have hands on experience in Personal Injury and Employment Law.Please note this is a REMOTE POSITION, not an In Firm position. Apply only if you prefer this work arrangement. Part time applicants will be considered as well.It is essential that a candidate have excellent writing and drafting. New Jersey and/or New York admission required.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
