NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform other related duties as assigned.WORK CONTACTS
Frequent contact with students, staff and parents. The majority of contacts are in person.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of reading, writing and business math; ability to perform basic mathematics; knowledge of commonly encountered commercial kitchen equipment and utensils and their safe handling and operation; knowledge of proper food handling, cleaning and storage.ABILITY TOMaintain accurate and detailed statistical and/or confidential records and documentation.Perform basic arithmetic functions.Operate a computerized cash register/point of sales system.Prepare deposit slips and correctly balance daily revenue receipts.Establish and maintain a cooperative and positive relationship with others (parents, students, and staff) contacted in the course of work.Work independently.Understand and follow oral and written instructions.Operate cooking and food preparation equipment.Prepare food in accordance with applicable guidelines.Listen and communicate orally with students and staff.Ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 35 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Nutrition Manager. The Nutrition Manager will at least annually evaluate the Cashier/Helper’s performance.SUPERVISION EXERCISED
