Description: Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:The AVP, Marketing – Outdoors will lead development and execution of marketing strategies to drive sales growth and profitability for the Outdoor industries (powersports, outdoor power equipment and sporting goods.) This role will manage client relationships at all levels of the organization and work closely with sales and OEM partners to drive loan and credit volume for Synchrony while meeting partner sales goals.The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketer who has excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally internally and with client partners to deliver effective marketing programs to drive growth. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Essential Responsibilities:Build and cultivate strategic relationships with a set of powersports, OPE and sporting goods partners, understanding their business goals and co-developing marketing strategies that align with mutual objectives.Partner with business and client teams to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual marketing plans.Deliver marketing programs and strategies through cross-functional matrixed organizational structure via multiple channels – OEM client partners, dealers, consumers.Help develop strategic vision for power sports industry and develop partner specific and industry specific marketing strategies and initiatives across the entire product suite from secured installment to revolving financing solutions.Identify industry segments to test and implement programs to grow these segments.Manage all aspects of value proposition development, including tracking industry trends, competitor’s and customer experience metrics. Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements.Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan for Outdoor industries. Assist in the development of the Synchrony planning cycle.Optimize marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals.Project management of B2B and B2C marketing projects and initiatives.Ensure clients and SYF efforts follow all advertising and compliance guidelines and leverage existing processes.Assist in the planning and execution of OEM, dealer and industry trade show events.Manage budget including forecasting and tracking for assigned clients and programs.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industriesMinimum of 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in credit card or financial servicesMinimum of 3 years client/partner experienceMinimum of 1 year of experience with direct marketing channelsOutstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint.Ability to travel as needed ~10%Desired Characteristics:Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business resultsSkilled at interpreting and leveraging data, strong analytical skills (segmentation, targeting, ROA prioritization strategies)Strong project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple programs and flex to changing business needs and prioritiesExperince with Workfront, Coupa, and/or Adobe AcrobatExperience managing and leading client and partner marketing programsExperience with digital & direct channels – mail, online, paid and earned media and mobileExperience developing and delivering presentation decksDemonstrate strong curiosity, ability to learn quickly, think creatively, and executeKnowledge/understanding of the powersports industry and installment lending a plus!Grade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:You must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
