Description: Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:The DTE Commercial, Marketing Technology team is playing a crucial role in enabling our commercial expansion as Vertex commercializes into new disease areas and brings more transformative medicines to patients around the world.As the Associate Director – Web Platform, you are responsible for overseeing the strategy, management and security of our organization’s web content platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity, scalability, and performance of our CMS and other digital content and development platforms, while driving innovation and alignment with business objectives.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise CMS platforms, web architecture and security, accessibility, platform integrations, consent and compliance.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Acquia CMS platform and ancillary digital platforms while managing governance, infrastructure, security and maintenance
  • Create and manage overall web technology standards, processes and procedures particularly related to web architecture, infrastructure, and integrations.
  • Lead the development and execution of platform capability roadmaps ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities
  • Identify and prioritize platform enhancements, ensuring compliance, scalability, security and optimal user experience
  • Ensure web platforms comply with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA and others with a focus on optimized cookie consent and data privacy management
  • Oversee integrations with third-party tools, analytics platforms and enterprise systems to extend platform capabilities while maintaining data privacy and integrity
  • Define and maintain platform architecture, ensuring data security, performance, reliability and scalability
  • Own and manage relationships with application vendors, managed service providers and development teams to ensure seamless operations and delivery of services
  • Support the contract management process, evaluate vendor performance and ensure SLAs are being met and reported on
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to implement new capabilities, resolve incidents and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial Business partners, Marketing, DTE, InfoSec & Privacy, and Delivery Teams to fully understand business needs and deliver solutions
  • Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to track platform performance, uptime, delivery and user satisfaction
  • Monitor trends in enterprise CMS platforms and emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains at the cutting edge

Knowledge and Skills:7+ years of experience in web content management platforms, digital platforms or web architecture roles.Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with web development technologies and frameworks, including front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and back-end technologies (Java, Python, PHP, .Net)Demonstrated project management abilities, including prioritization, time management, and adherence to deadlinesExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into prioritized product capability roadmapsDemonstrated experience managing vendors, including application vendors, managed service providers and development teamExperience collaborating with on and off-shore agile development teams, as well as communicating with various stakeholders with varying degrees of technical aptitudeExperience with web content management platforms (i.e., Acquia, Sitecore, Salesforce, Adobe), web servers, databases, APIs and cloud servicesExperience working with CDPs, web analytics and web personalization platformsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environmentsLife Science or Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferredEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Development or other related technology degree.Master’s degree in relevant field is preferredFlex Designation: Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site EligibleFlex Eligibility Status:In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.
