With a scope spanning the molecular to the societal, these programs have the potential to radically improve everyone’s health.”SD Solutions is seeking a skilled Advanced Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing development tasks related to the ARPA-H website and future web projects. This role involves conducting thorough analyses of website requirements, performing technical assessments of website capabilities, and creating engaging new pages and content. Additionally, the candidate will develop migration scripts for existing Drupal sites and enhance Drupal functionalities using custom modules The Advanced Web Developer will play a critical role in advancing high-impact health research initiatives and facilitate the translation of transformative ideas into tangible outcomes that benefit public health at ARPA-H.Responsibilities Include

  • Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze website requirements for new projects and enhancements.
  • Perform technical analysis of website capabilities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Create, edit, and manage new web pages and content on the ARPA-H website, ensuring it meets accessibility and responsiveness standards
  • Develop migration scripts for existing ARPA-H Drupal sites, ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity during migrations.
  • Extend Drupal capabilities through the creation of custom modules that enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of the current website to identify areas for improvement in performance, security, and user engagement.
  • Provide technical recommendations for optimizing website infrastructure and content management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Participate in project planning and brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas for website improvements and new features.
  • Document development processes, including coding standards and procedures for maintaining website content.
  • Assist in training staff on best practices for using the Drupal CMS and implementing new features.

Requirements Overview

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in a federal government in web development, particularly focusing on Drupal-based environments development within the health sector, preferably in a government or research environment.
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 20 years of experience in a federal government in web development, particularly focusing on Drupal-based environments development within the health sector, preferably in a government or research environment.
  • Prefer at least 1 year experience supporting DARPA or related Federal “ARPA” agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, ARPA-H, HSARPA).
  • Alternate preferable experience at NIH, CDC, FDA, Public Health Service, NSF, USDA, State Health Department, or Local Health Department.
