Description: The Curriculum Coordinator of Seconday Schools is responsible for providing leadership, support, and oversight for secondary education programs across multiple schools. This role involves collaborating with school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders to enhance educational outcomes, implement curriculum, and promote best practices in teaching and learning in order to empower a diverse student body to achieve their highest potential.The Curriculum Coordinator of Secondary Schools will oversee 6-12 English, 6-12 Math, 6-12 Social Studies, 6-12 Science, K-12 Math Acceleration, 6-12 Math Specialists, and 6-12 Project Lead the Way (PLTW).MINIMAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with educators to develop, review, update, and implement curriculum to align with Missouri and national standards. This includes selecting textbooks, creating units and common assessments, and assessing the effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Instructional Support: Provide support to teachers in implementing the curriculum and ensuring that they have the necessary resources to teach effectively. This includes proving professional development opportunities, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring the use of best practices.
  • Assessment: Develop and implement assessment tools to measure and improve student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum. This includes analyzing test scores to inform instructional practices, identifying areas of improvement, and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Communication: Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents to ensure that they are aware of the curriculum and instructional practices. This includes attending meetings, providing updates, and responding to concerns or questions.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources including budgets, supplies, and technology needed to support the curriculum implementation.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the curriculum meets all state and federal regulations, including staying informed of changing laws, current issues, and best practices in the field of education.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required. Master’s degree (or higher) in Curriculum or Education related preferred.
  • Prior experience in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment is required.
  • Teaching certification and three (3) or more years of successful teaching experience in secondary education required.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with various secondary subjects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data, driven decision-making based on evidence and apply findings to curriculum development.
  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

COMPENSATION: Salary will be determined based on verified education and years of experience. Salary for this position will be in accordance with the Teacher Salary Schedule for the 2025-26 school year with extra days.
