With us, your daily work will make a positive difference in your community.DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this Social Service Aid role, you will perform a variety of entry level social service duties designed to provide supportive services to children, youth, and families. This includes providing parenting education services and transportation for our clients. You will attend staff trainings and meetings to enhance your skills and coordinate with other members of our team, observe and report clients’ progress toward their goals, and prepare for daily activities including but not limited to parenting skills building, group therapy, discipline, budgeting, self-esteem building, crafts, and more!We also work in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, mental health facilities, police, courts, schools, and other community resources in assisting the families. • Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a County Social Services Aide 1; or
• Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or
• An associate’s degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
