Description: Job Title: Associate Attorney – Government & Civil DefenseLocation: Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaAbout the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Myrtle Beach office. The ideal candidate will handle government defense, law enforcement defense, Tort Claims Act, civil defense, and personal injury cases. This role requires a motivated individual who excels in managing a diverse caseload and collaborating with a talented team of attorneys.Key Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing parties to resolve and settle claims.
• Manage a diversified caseload from start to finish, ensuring timely reporting and updates.
• Collaborate with other attorneys on depositions and court appearances.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in civil litigation defense.
• Must be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
• Strong academic credentials and a proven ability to work independently.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Familiarity with Westlaw is required; experience with i-Manage and Juris Suite is a plus.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage assignments and caseloads.

Additional Information:

• Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
• Region: Responsible for cases in the Pee Dee region.
• Travel: The position will involve in-state travel.
