Do not miss this opportunity!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this supervisory role, you will oversee and train a group of professional county social service workers, as well as carry your own caseload. In addition to the professional staff, you will also supervise paraprofessional human service workers and county social services aide staff. There are several regulations, statutes, and processes we must follow as we oversee these cases, and you will exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in achieving objectives. You will provide counseling services to children, youth, and families; motivate clients to develop and use their own potential to adequately resolving their social, health, emotional, and economic problems; and review and evaluate the work of staff performing similar duties. Client records are extremely important, so you can expect to review and monitor records to ensure services are provided in compliance with applicable regulations.Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
