Apply today and start your career off on the right foot!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Social Work Manager 2, you will be administering the SCOH (Services to Children in Their Own Homes) Division. Work involves development and maintenance of programs, policies, and practices, which assure the safety of children and compliance with legal mandates while providing a range of high quality protective services for families in which children reside at home. You will have the opportunity to supervise four Casework Supervisors and one Casework Manager 1 as well as four other Casework Supervisors in the absence of the Casework Manager 1. The SCOH Division includes 32 Caseworkers and eight (8) Social Services Aides. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with agency administrators to establish goals and objectives for community needs
  • Ensuring services are in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Securing resources for the agency
  • Distributing workload to staff
  • Developing the annual Needs-Based Plan and Budget as well as Implementation plan
  • Overseeing contracted programs
  • Inputting payroll
  • Serving as a liaison with other public and private agencies
  • Co-chairing the Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
  • Overseeing the drug testing program

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position requires extended work hours to respond to the immediate or emergency needs of clients, employees, and the agency.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of professional social work experience in a public or private social services agency which includes two years in a public welfare program and two years in a supervisory, administrative, or consultative capacity; and graduation from an approved graduate school of social work.
