Description: Staff AccountantPosition Overview
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the month-end close process.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
• Assist in month-end close procedures
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing
• Process payroll and manage employee records
• Handle accounts payable and vendor payments
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
• Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with government contracting accounting is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
