Description: Associate AttorneyPosition OverviewI am currently working with a reputable Law firm in Albuquerque, NM that specializes in Municipal and Government Entities. They are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing legal advice and representation to clients, focusing on municipal and government entities.This role will report to our Senior Associate Attorney who has been with us for over 4 years. Our team also has an Managing Partner, Senior Associate, 3 Associates, and Support Staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while handling a variety of legal matters, particularly in transactional and defense law.Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements for municipal and government clients.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide sound legal advice.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, negotiations, and court proceedings as needed.
  • Assist senior attorneys in case management, including preparing for trials and hearings.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in laws and regulations that impact municipal and government entities.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar Association in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 2+ years of experience in transactional law and defense law.
  • Knowledge of municipal law, government and public entities, environmental law and consumer protection
  • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
