Description: Position Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Attorney to join our firm, specializing in Employment PAGA, FEHA, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour Single and Class Action cases. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a strong background in labor and employment law, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to lead a team in fighting against employer misconduct. You will have complete autonomy over your caseload, guiding your team through every phase of litigation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Carry your own caseload with complete autonomy, ensuring all cases are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of Associates, Paralegals, and Assistants, fostering a collaborative environment while driving case success.
  • Motion Practice and Litigation: Ability to draft or supervise the drafting or winning arguments on key motions necessary to effectively litigate a matter, including motions for remand, oppositions to motions to compel arbitration, discovery motions, and motions for class certification.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies aimed at resolving cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
  • Depositions and Conferences: Take and manage depositions, and conduct meet and confers to advance case objectives.
  • Mediation and Negotiations: Help prepare for and participate in mediation, and otherwise assist in negotiations to resolve employment matters on a class or individual basis as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least seven years of experience as an attorney, with a minimum of 5 years in labor and employment law and/or class action work.
  • Proven experience serving as Lead Attorney.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, including effective time management and the capacity to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of the California Labor Code, with the ability to apply it effectively in litigation and client advisement.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing legal teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff. Experience managing a team of at least 2 people is required.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
