Lightspark is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, but serves the world.As the Partner and Events Marketing Manager at Lightspark, you will spearhead the creation and execution of experiences that bring our brand and partnerships to life. From intimate industry gatherings to large-scale corporate events and virtual engagements, you’ll build and execute a dynamic events strategy with XFN partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a partner marketing program that deepens relationships, drives engagement, and amplifies our mission to revolutionize digital payments. This role is perfect for a creative strategist with a flair for innovation and a deep understanding of event design and partnership-driven growth. The position is based full-time onsite at our offices in Culver City, Los Angeles, California.What you’ll be doing:Event Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a holistic event strategy that aligns with Lightspark’s growth goals, including conferences, product launches, industry shows, and in-person and virtual events.Partner Marketing Leadership: Build the Partner Marketing function, defining the scope and operating model. Lead initiatives to build and strengthen partnerships, collaborating with Lightspark’s ecosystem to drive co-branded campaigns, joint events, and industry alliances that amplify our shared missions.Co-Marketing Strategy and Execution: develop co-marketing strategies for partners to achieve business objectives. Define and maintain a budget while executing full-funnel marketing campaigns across platforms, driving growth and performance.Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, communications, sales, client success, and leadership teams to ensure events and partner programs consistently elevate Lightspark’s brand and vision and drive performance and ongoing success.Event Budgeting & Vendor Management: Oversee budgets, negotiate contracts, and select vendors to deliver exceptional event experiences, making strategic choices that maximize impact.Experience Design: Create immersive, high-engagement events with thoughtfully curated content, keynotes, workshops, networking sessions, and partner-driven activations.On-Site and Virtual Execution: Ensure seamless delivery of on-site and virtual event experiences, managing logistics and teams to provide a polished, engaging attendee journey.Team Leadership: Mentor a small cross functional team, and grow a partner marketing team from the ground up, promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability.Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Set KPIs, analyze post-event and partnership outcomes, communicate these outcomes to the business, and use insights to optimize future initiatives.What we’re looking for:10+ years of event and partner marketing experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within tech, fintech, or high-growth startups.Proven track record in scaling events, partner marketing, and partnerships to drive brand engagement and business impact.Expertise in virtual and hybrid event platforms, with a strong understanding of the latest event technology and design trends.Strong project management, negotiation, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.Experience in budget management, vendor negotiation, and partner relations.Adaptability, a solution-oriented mindset, and a passion for Lightspark’s mission.Lightspark is on a mission to build an open payment protocol for the Internet at scale and therefore we’re committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse workplace to reflect the customers we serve.
