Description of Work UnitThe Arts Management program at Colorado State University offers a Master of Arts Leadership and Cultural Management degree and certificate. The program provides learners with the skills needed to work in all sectors of the creative economy including in for-profit, nonprofit, and government establishments.Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Position SummaryThe Arts Management program may seek adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses in arts management. Applicants are added to the pool list throughout the calendar year. Hiring decisions are made during the late spring and early summer for fall semester, during the early fall semester for spring, and during the spring semester for the summer term.

Required Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in the arts or arts management/administration.
  • Five or more years of experience working for an arts organization (for-profit or nonprofit) or in an artistic discipline.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in the arts or arts management/administration, or one of the following fields with a focus on the arts – community development, nonprofit administration, entrepreneurship, marketing, public policy, law, or urban planning.
  • Five or more years of experience working for an arts organization (for-profit or nonprofit) or in an artistic discipline.
  • A demonstrated history of successful online instruction.
