Description: Non Commissioned Officers/Warrant Officers who meet the following prerequisites may apply: Retired 3 years or less; meet Army/AJROTC height/weight/body fat standards, high standards of military bearing, appearance and moral character; no military or civilian adverse actions, (i.e. Article 15’s, Letter of Reprimand, DUI’s or other adverse/negative actions) if still on active duty, must have retirement orders and within six months of retirement or terminal leave date. Desirable prerequisites: a Baccalaureate degree, experience in supply, administration, drill and ceremonies, teaching experience, and experience working with youth groups. Some schools expect the instructor to be certified by the state as a high school teacher or willing to work toward and achieve certification within a prescribed period.NOTE: You must have at least 20 years Active Federal Service; served last year of active duty as an Officers/Warrant Officers.12 month positionOZARK R-VI SCHOOLSJOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: TEACHERQUALIFICATIONS:1. Basic Technological SkillsREPORTS TO: Building PrincipalJOB GOAL: To provide students of the Ozark R-VI District with educational instruction which will foster andaccelerate their intellectual, physical, social and career development.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged inmeaningful learning experiences.2. Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varyingbackgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.3. Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.4. Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures including electronic formats.5. Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learningprocess.6. Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on aregular basis.7. Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment.8. Models professional and ethical standards as directed in board policy when dealing with students, parents,peers, and community.9. Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area,and/or program classification.10. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school staff.11. Participates in training opportunities as established by building principal.12. Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: following meeting protocol, honoringschedules, meeting collaborative assignment deadlines.13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor. All work responsibilities aresubject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the teacher evaluation process.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move around in the instructional areaTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Base annual contract of nine months as per approved school calendar;compensation as per adopted salary schedule.TYPE OF POSITION: ExemptEVALUATION: All teachers will be evaluated annually by their building administrator
