This information is utilized during the pay equity analysis phase.Summary of Job Duties:Carry out the objectives and goals of the agency through CJIS programs and specifically the LEDS unit within the CJIS Division. Develop and manage the state’s Law Enforcement Data System non-IT programs, including the development and enforcement of standards for data reporting, data quality and data exchange by user agencies. Ensure data integrity; user training and system use audits; coordinate with OSP Information Technology Division, system vendors, and external partners on record and access related issues; database updates and Control System Agency responsibilities for data exchange with other states and the federal government. Provide clear program related direction and expectations to staff. Coordinate and collaborate on program related activities, updates, and changes with all managers within the division. Assist the Core Services Deputy Director and Division Director in implementing and carrying out the Department and Division’s Strategic Plan and mission. Assist subordinates with policy, operational and procedural issues, as well as facilitate problem resolution. Carry out the objectives and mission of the agency and oversee the continued improvement for all services provided within the LEDS program unit as well as within the Division. Promote quality and customer service within all areas of the CJIS Division.Work comes to this position by way of state statute, the criminal justice community, the Director of the CJIS Division, Public Safety Services Bureau Commander, other state and federal governmental agencies, and the public.Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR two years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.Preferred Skills:Proven skills in coordinating tasks with deadlines by prioritizing the work that will impact a 24/7/365 work unit.Communication and collaboration with vendors, peers and subordinates.Ability to interpret and analyze statutes, administrative rules, regulations, policies, and procedures with a focus on applying this information to a technical system.Strengths in ability to evaluate program needs, plan for improvements with metric statistics to define the plan.Ability to plan and coordinate a large-scale event with many internal and external stakeholders.This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.The use of outside resources such as Artificial Intelligence software during applicant skill assessments, examinations, and/or interviews is prohibited unless otherwise stated by the hiring agency.
