Description: Job Details:Kingman Unified School District consists of thirteen schools and approximately 7800 students and 340 teachers. There are four K-5 schools, one pre-K school, two middle schools (6-8), one K-8 school, one K-6 school, two 9-12 high schools, one self paced academic process campus, and one online learning academy.Kingman, Arizona is located in northwestern Arizona in the Hualapai Valley between the Cerbat and Hualapai Mountain ranges. Kingman is known as “The Heart of Historic Route 66” and is ideally situated between Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon. For those who enjoy small to mid town life, but like big city nearby, we have Henderson/Las Vegas an hour and a half drive north which is great for quick day trips! For those who love fishing or water activities, we have Bullhead City 30min away located right on the Colorado River with Katherine Landing. If you like nature, you have the opportunity to enjoy the spring flowers just outside Oatman, AZ 30 min west of us and also get to experience forestry and wildlife year round and even snow in winter, just 20min northeast of us in the Hualapai Mountains.Job Description:Summary/ObjectiveThe school psychologist is responsible for improving the educational experiences of children who demonstrate learning difficulties; enabling students to benefit from their instructional program; collaborating and consulting with parents, teachers, and District personnel in designing, implementing and evaluating interventions at individual, school, and district levels.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

• Develop, implement, and monitor METs for all student eligible services.

• Provide consultation to students, staff, and parents regarding social emotional, behavioral and/or academic behavior.

• Participate in psych-educational evaluations.

• Administer individual assessments to students.

• Interpret the results of individual, class, school and district assessments.

• Conduct record reviews.

• Collaborate with site special education teams to make special education decisions.

• Facilitate activities related to the implementation of the Response To Intervention (RTI) model.

• Conduct site-based educational research, as assigned.

• Communicate and consult with school staff, parents, administrators, physicians, community, and other professionals effectively, both orally and in written form.

• Participate in professional growth activities, trainings, conferences, meetings, and workshops as required or assigned.

• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members, and vendors.

• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time, exempt position, contracted for 166 days between July 1 and June 30. Employee will typically work Monday through Thursday. Extended work hours are required.Required Education and ExperienceMaster’s or more advanced degree from an accredited institution with relative coursework and internship or experience to qualify for the Standard School Psychologist, PreKindergarten-12 Certificate through Arizona Department of Education.Preferred Education and Experience

• Knowledge of the principles of school psychology

• Experience with interpreting laws, policies, and guidelines relating to school psychology

• Experience working with a diverse student population

Required Certifications/LicensesStandard School Psychologist, PreKindergarten-12 Certificate through Arizona Department of EducationPreferred Certifications/LicensesCurrent Nationally Certified School Psychologist CredentialWork Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Salary: $71000 – 74000 per year
