This is a hybrid opportunity in based out of our Corporate office in New York City under the VP of Corporate Communications. The role will be responsible for planning, designing and executing communications content across a range of channels, ensuring engaging and inspiring content is delivered to different audiences and supports CRH’s Government Relations’ ambition.Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a key liaison between Government Affairs and Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
- Design, implement and manage an overall editorial plan, ensuring content is aligned (internally/externally) and delivered to agreed schedules
- Own the Government Relations internal channel matrix, ensuring it is regularly reviewed and fit for purpose for our diverse audiences
- Produce high-quality content that engages and educates our target audience, including employee newsletters, announcements, video content, press releases/articles, whitepapers, blog posts, social media content and website copy
- Experiment with, evaluate and optimize content formats to ensure messages reach, engage and inspire target audiences
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent and aligned with external messaging
- Collaborate with internal teams to create thought leadership opportunities and position CRH as an industry leader.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, public sentiment, and PR campaign performance; provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Support crisis communications and issue management, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
- A self-starter, able to comfortably manage your own workload and adapt to change
- Must carry communications/marketing qualification or equivalent work experience, preferably in an editorial/planning role
- Must be experienced writer and editor, with an exceptional eye of detail and the ability to produce compelling content for a range of audiences.
- Experience in communications measurement and the ability to demonstrate campaign ROI
- A knowledge of the latest communications and /or marketing trends and best practice.
- To have technical experience of working across digital/social media platforms; video-editing and web design is not required but an advantage
- Travel up to 25% to attend meetings, events, and other engagements.
