Please visit our website, treehousechildren.org, to learn more about our philosophy and practices.We are recruiting one teacher to join our infant-toddler team comprised of five creative, collaborative and deeply committed teachers who serve 18 children ages 6 weeks to age 3 across two classrooms.And you? You have prior experience with “littles” and are passionate about early childhood education. You have a creative bent, love of learning (for you!), and are keen to work on a school-wide team of professionals. We are looking for a go-getter, an educator motivated to contribute something profound for children and families. We can’t wait to welcome you.DutiesYou work an 8-hour daily shift, shared with co-teachers and teachers’ aides. Design “provocations” based on children’s interests and your own passions. Work with our music and art teachers, along with our Reggio Coach, to offer creative experiences and discoveries. Reflect with colleagues on children’s learning to plan next steps, and create cool documentation to share with parents, colleagues and children too.RequirementsWe are thrilled that early childhood education (ECE) is your chosen profession. You love working with babies, infants and toddlers — for whom all is wondrous and new — and reflecting with colleagues on all aspects of children’s learning and development. We strongly prefer that you have a college degree and at least one year of teaching experience in some venue. We look forward to learning about your passion for ECE, as well as your other interests.Nice To HavesIdeally, you have experience with babies, infants and/or toddlers and understand their developmental stages and needs.We look forward to learning about your interests and passions: it’s important that you bring these to bear in your teaching.Prior teaching experience is preferred (not required). We also prefer that you are familiar with NAEYC standards, VT Early Learning standards, and the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
