Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
Certification as School Psychological Examiner by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Experience: Prefer previous experience in testing and a background in special education
Primary Responsibilities: To administer cognitive and adaptive behavior assessments.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:PROGRAM OPERATION

  • Administers cognitive and adaptive Behavior assessments to individual students.
  • Interprets and write up assessment results.
  • Participate in eligibility determination meetings as requested.
  • Assists with the identification process of special services students.
  • Demonstrates competent knowledge of testing and test interpretation.
  • Uses testing time effectively.
  • Communicates effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Creates a climate conducive to testing.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with students.
  • Demonstrates patience, respect, and understanding for students.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with staff.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with administrators.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with parents/patrons.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in professional growth activities.
  • Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm toward work.
  • Follows the policies and procedures of the school district.
  • Demonstrates a sense of professional responsibility.
  • Conducts self at all times as a representative of the school.
  • Completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTA standard teaching contract is for 178 days. Compensation is according to the teacher salary schedule established annually by the Board of Education. All other employee benefits are according to the individual’s total FTE of employment.EVALUATION
