Description: Description :The Vistex Government Pricing Business Advisor is accountable for the service provided to multiple pharmaceutical companies to ensure timely and accurate calculation of government prices utilized for federal drug reimbursement. The Government Pricing Business Advisor is a government pricing subject matter expert that our customers operations teams may query and receive advice and guidance with questions in their area of expertise.Responsibilities

  • Advise on how to manage complex Government Pricing concepts such as bundles, discount reallocation, pro-rationing and smoothing.
  • Manage the calculations and / or guide customers on the following price methods: Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price (BP), Average Sales Price (ASP), PHS/340B, non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price (nFAMP), Federal Ceiling Price (FCP) and Medicaid Unit Rebate Amount URA.
  • Advise customers on best practices for set-up and management of government contracts. Veterans Administration Federal Supply Schedule including tracking customer definition, tracking and reporting. Public Health Systems 340b contract management and analysis.
  • Identify, disseminate, and explain trends and findings to management and/or business partners.
  • Expected to continually build detailed subject matter expertise and thought leadership in area of government program regulations and share this knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable of monthly and quarterly source data reconciliation and sales data used in price reporting calculations and ensure reports are in accordance with government regulations.
  • Advising on Class of Trade assignments in accordance with regulations and client guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable of 340B/PHS pricing and maintenance per the federal regulation
  • Responsible for calculation and reporting of Government prices for all NDCs.
  • Guide and / or lead client price calculation and/or restatement efforts as needed.
  • Stay current and provide business guidance to customers related to the life science’s Commercial and/or regulatory landscape (such as IRA, MDRP, State 340B, etc.) and asses any potential impact on gov’t pricing and Gross to Net.
  • Drive proactive and reactive analytics and insights through digital initiatives that help improve Forecasting, Contracting Decisions, Pricing Decisions and Timing, Business Planning

BachelorsExperience : 5 years: Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry working with state and federal pricing, reporting, and rebate programs
0 years: Experience achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures by ensuring that all plans and activities are met with “best” industry practices.
0 years: Experience in and ability to learn standard industry system environment.
0 years: Knowledge of U.S. Government pricing statutes and regulations including knowledge of OBRA 90, OBRA 93, Deficit Reduction Act, VA Healthcare Act, the Medicare Modernization Act, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.
0 years: Experience achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures by ensuring that all plans and activities are met with “best” industry practices.
0 years: Experience in working in mandated deadline environment; effective in managing multiple client assignments; ability to prioritize.
0 years: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
0 years: High accuracy rate and attention to detail; ability to produce client-ready deliverables to a high-level executive/professional client base.
0 years: Experience with Microsoft Office products required and knowledge of advance Excel techniques such as pivot tables and data importing are desired.
0 years: Individuals currently in government pricing analyst roles.
0 years: Experience as the customer-facing consulting lead for complex GP activities and deliverables – the ability to deeply describe all steps, approaches, pitfalls, and how to mitigate risk and achieve success.
