Description: Great Opportunity for Art Instructors!Art Instructors – PRN/SeasonalArt Instructors are responsible for implementing art educational programming. Our Instructors must be able to work with diverse groups of people in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Art Instructor will teach designated classes and workshops, conduct outreach activities at various locations, and lead other learning opportunities as appropriate and required. The Art Instructor will report to the Director of Education.These positions are PRN (as needed) with hours generally from 8:00am-4:00pm with occasional weekend and evening requirements.Excellent compensation of $15-18/hr (based on experience)What will you do?

• Organize and lead designated art education programs.
• Maintain familiarity with emergency procedures and assist in implementing them when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Represent the Washington Pavilion in a positive, professional manner

What will you need!Experience in an education setting, plus coursework in appropriate disciplines (education, curriculum and assessment, visual arts, etc.) is preferred. Teaching experience and curriculum development in informal visual arts education preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Art or related discipline preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in classroom management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• Effective communication with a wide range of audiences
