Description: Concordia University Irvine, California, announces a search for a full-time faculty member in the Department of Visual Arts beginning in July 2025. The Professor of Art will teach art at all levels within the Department of Visual Arts and courses within the Enduring Questions and Ideas Core. The individual should be engaged in studio and/or graphic design art methods and curriculum, emphasizing art history in the context of a Lutheran liberal arts perspective.Qualifications: MFA or PhD in fine art, studio art, art history, graphic design, or related visual arts field.Appointment: The position is a full-time position that will require being on the Irvine campus and comes with full rights as a full-time faculty member. The faculty will be expected to teach studio arts and/or graphic design courses to majors and non-majors in our Enduring Questions and Ideas (Q&I) Curriculum in General Education.
